Dairy Free Alfredo

Dairy Free Alfredo…Did I read that right?

Oh, it’s got to be made with Cauliflower, right?  Nope.

Does it even taste like Alfredo?  Yes, yes it does.

Prove it.
Challenge Accepted.

alfredo-with-noodles

Dairy Free Alfredo Sauce

  • 4 Cups Cashew Milk (3/4 C. soaked cashews, rinsed and blended with 4 C. water)
  • 2 T. Potato Starch
  • 1 T. Salt
  • 1 T. Minced Onion
  • 1/2 T. Garlic, minced or powder
  • 1/2 t. Pepper
  • 1/2 t. Italian Seasoning, optional

Pour milk in large sauce pan. Add starch and spices, whisk until combined.  Turn heat on to medium high, whisk constantly.  Bring to a boil, boil a couple minutes until thickened, and BAMM-O!!

alredo-with-whisk

Serve over noodles, rice noodles or vegetables, depending on other food sensitivities!  Add chicken and/or veggies.  Due to my many food sensitivities I usually have it over a bed of stir fry veggies from Costco.

It’s amazing how a recipe that gives you back a little bit of ‘normal’ can become a beacon of hope and comfort.  I hope this recipe restores a little bit of hope that you’ll be okay, even without dairy, gluten, corn, rice, or anything else.  Sorry to those with cashew allergies!

Norwex…cleaning the easy way?

Home

Okay, so I was invited to a Norwex party maybe nine years ago?  And I didn’t have the money or the brainpower (something about having a bunch of little kids running around) to order anything or look at it very much.

Then, a couple months ago I was invited to another FB party for Norwex, since it was on FB and I could just show up in my p.j.’s I figured huh, wonder what it’s about.  The party was run very well and had this amazing video that really helped me see the benefit of Norwex products.  I’ve already explored the awesome benefits of silver, so this totally makes sense.

Watch this video and COME BACK HERE. 🙂

What did you think?  How many times have you wiped up egg and then forgotten to disinfect?  I love the idea that I can clean with a cloth and have it actually be CLEAN!!

I don’t think I’ll go full board with Norwex, but I did sign up with the ‘Try it’ kit that was on sale a couple months after the party!  Here is my business page link if you want to try out some of the products.  My kit came with a veggie cloth, a window cloth and a regular one (and some other goodie)!  I should do my own you-tube video!  I love that the cloths are safe for kids and KILL germs easy peasy!

I think I want the dust mitt next, that sounds heavenly to hand it to the kids and have them fight over who gets to dust!

Usborne Books

Home, Kids

I. Love. Books.  I do.  I usually fill the shelves with good condition books from yard sales and thrift shops.  I love the feeling of finding a super awesome deal on a book.

However, if I do spend actual money on a book, it’s an Usborne Book.  These books are awesome, great, wonderful, fabulous, incredible, affordable…your choice on which word fits best.

I like to say that the non-fiction is my favorite, but then I look at the little kid books and fawn over them too, as well as the wipe-clean ones and oh, I love, love, love the condensed classics (Shakespeare, Dickens, other classics in a compilation, old fairy tales that have been lost over time)…yeah, I think you get the picture. I. Love. Usborne. Books.

Here are some from my personal collection, I was awarded most of these for a party I held.

Here are a couple reviews of some of our favorites.

Also, my good friend Chelsea happens to be a consultant and she’d love to help you host your own FB party, or you can just drain your savings account and spurge on all the amazing titles!  Click below to see everything.

Farm, Home, Kids, Lilla Rose

Please take a moment and subscribe to our You-Tube channel.  We will be adding many, many videos on anything and everything dealing with our site.  We will try to keep most videos under 5 minutes because honestly, who has the time to watch 30 minutes at a time?  At times we will make longer segments, but short and sweet is our goal.
